How this guide works

Sources we trust

This guide pulls from Eater Nashville, The Infatuation, Nashville Scene's Michelin coverage, and boots-on-the-ground intel from people who actually live here. No press releases, no advertorials.

What's not here

Hotel steakhouses, national chains (Cheesecake Factory, etc.), Broadway tourist traps, and airport food. This is the list for people who want to eat like Nashville eats.

Reservations

Catbird Seat, Bastion, and Locust drop reservations the first of the month at noon (or 10am for Locust) on OpenTable for the following month. Set a timer. Kisser is walk-in only. Most others take OpenTable or Resy, or walk-ins work.

Updated monthly

Nashville's dining scene moves fast. This guide is updated at least once a month to keep it current. Last refresh: August 2026. New spots, closures, and pop-up schedules land in the Dispatch first.

The Eighteen Dispatch

East Nashville, monthly.

What's opening, what's playing, what's worth the line. One email a month from the corner of McFerrin and Main.
