Halloween in Five Points: All Hallows East and the Rest of It

Dated event guide. This guide covers dates through October 31, 2026. Details are retained for reference; consult the official organizer for current schedules and tickets. No future edition is implied.

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year. Downtown will do what downtown does with that. Five Points throws a block party and calls it All Hallows East, and the whole thing is a nine-minute walk from McFerrin and Main.

This is the 2026 edition. Details below come from the organizers’ own pages as of September 29; check them again the week of, because Halloween plans move.

Saturday, October 31: All Hallows East

All Hallows East runs 4 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, October 31, at 110 South 11th Street, the heart of Five Points. The organizer, Good Neighbor Festivals, bills it as Nashville’s biggest Halloween block party: costume contests, live music, food vendors.

Admission is free, but you have to register in advance on the Eventbrite page. Do that now rather than at 3:45 on the day.

The practical bits, from the organizer’s FAQ. It is family friendly. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome. Bags are searched at the gate, and outside food, drink and coolers are not allowed.

The FAQ also says parking is on the side streets and recommends a rideshare. From here you need neither. Walk down McFerrin, turn left on Woodland, and you are there in about nine minutes. Getting home at 10 PM is the same walk in reverse, which on Halloween night in this neighborhood is worth more than it sounds.

The same day at The Beast

The Basement East is a block from the building at 917 Woodland, and it is doing Halloween twice on the 31st.

In the morning, the Rock & Roll Playhouse Halloween Spectacular for Kids: doors 10:30, music 11:30, all ages. That night, Blade Rave takes the room at 9 PM. As of October 19 the venue’s listing marks it 21 and up. Same address, two very different crowds.

That makes a full Saturday possible without a car. Kids’ show in the morning, block party from 4, and the rave after the kids are in bed. The rest of the month’s bills are in the October calendar.

The weekend before

Halloween week really starts on Saturday, October 24, which already has a hot sauce festival, a TSU game and a 90s Halloween show at The Beast on the same day. That pileup has its own post.

The part worth repeating here is on Sunday, October 25. The TN Hot Sauce Expo at East Park, 700 Woodland, runs a doggie Halloween costume contest at 3 PM with $100 to the winner. East Park is a ten-minute walk down Woodland. Expo admission applies.

Further out, Potions and Paws is on Thursday, October 22, 6 to 9 PM, at Lost and Found, 3104 Gallatin Pike. There is another dog costume contest there ($5 entry) and Halloween drinks. Admission is free, all ages, and costume fees plus part of the drink sales go to Pawster. That address is a drive from here, not a walk.

Running all month

Moonlight & Mischief at TailGate Brewery East Nashville, 811 Gallatin Avenue, runs through November 1. The taproom gets the enchanted-forest treatment, with a limited Halloween food and cocktail menu. It is a 21-minute walk: up Main, which turns into Gallatin. A reasonable early-evening stop before a night back in Five Points.

Devil’s Dungeon is the haunted house, at 510 Davidson Street on the stadium side of the east bank. It has been running since 2000. The operators recommend it for 13 and up, and they say lines get longer the closer you get to Halloween. Arriving 15 to 30 minutes before opening is their advice, not ours. It is a 34-minute walk, so most people will drive or ride. Hours and tickets are on their site.

The rest of Halloween weekend

Updated October 22 from the venues’ own calendars.

Thursday, October 29. The 5 Spot, the neighborhood’s small live-music room, holds a 90s Halloween night with Virginia Louise and special guest Jurana at 9 PM. It is a short walk from here. A block away at The Beast, Donny Benét plays at 8 PM with OTNES, 18 and up.

Friday, October 30. Zach Top brings his Cold Beer & Country Music Tour to Bridgestone Arena. Out at the Opry House, the Grand Ole Opry has The Oak Ridge Boys, Nate Smith and Jason Crabb at 7 PM. Closer in, Neko Case and Allison Russell share the Ryman stage at 7 PM, and The Bends play The Beast at 8 PM, a one-block walk.

Saturday, October 31. Back at The 5 Spot, Backup Planet plays Halloween night at 8 PM. The Predators play the Tampa Bay Lightning at Bridgestone Arena, so downtown will be busy on top of everything else. The Ryman runs its Haunted History Tour that evening, 6 to 8 PM. The Halloween night Opry at 7 PM has The Oak Ridge Boys, Bill Anderson and John Berry, plus an Opry debut from Jake Wesley Rogers. The Opry House is a drive, not a walk.

Sunday, November 1. Southern Underground Pro Wrestling: Fear and Trembling is at The Beast, 2 PM, 21 and up. Across town, Nashville SC plays Red Bull New York at GEODIS Park at 3:30 PM. It is the club’s Fan Appreciation Night.

How to do it

Walk. The block party, The Beast and East Park are all ten minutes or less on foot. Parking is folklore on a normal Saturday, and this is not a normal Saturday.

Register for All Hallows East before you arrive. Free still means registered.

Eat early or eat late. Expect every kitchen in Five Points to be slammed between 6 and 9. Five Points Pizza at 1012 Woodland is seven minutes away and is the correct answer in a costume anyway.

Book ahead. Halloween on a Saturday is a festival weekend in all but name. If you want to wake up a block from The Beast on November 1, check availability.
